The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London’s premier purpose built conference centre, has surpassed its occupancy target for the year 2009/10. The Centre achieved an occupancy percentage of 65.3% against a target of 60%.

The Centre also achieved a turnover of £11.2million and recorded a net surplus of £2.6million – which is equivalent to an EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation) of £3.3million for the year 2009/10.

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) has responded to growing demand for smaller meetings by announcing new packages for events for up to 110 delegates.

A new day delegate rate (DDR), from £65, enables organisers of board meetings, training courses, seminars and workshops for 15 to 110 delegates to take advantage of the central London venue’s fourth-floor rooms and benefit from its high-tech facilities, experienced staff and award-winning catering from Leith’s at the Centre.

The QEIICC will be part of Visit London’s Association Showcase 2010 – a new, tailor-made workshop for in-house association event executives with responsibility for the planning of national or global events with a particular interest in finding out what’s new in London – on 18-19th April 2010 at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.

Following its successful management of the Iraq Inquiry, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London’s most prestigious purpose built centre for professional meetings and events, is opening its new inquiry suite for bookings.

The self-contained suite comprises of an inquiry room that can seat up to 100 theatre style and a media room suitable for 50 journalists. These areas are accompanied by a witness lounge and two offices.

Jamie’s involvement reflects the Centre’s continued commitment to develop and build relationships with UK agencies and work with them to deliver the right event solution for clients at The QEIICC.

The HBAA represents the collective interest of the parties involved in the procurement and management of conference, meetings and accommodation in the UK and internationally.
