In the last two years of challenging trading, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) has recognised the value and importance of revenue management activities which contribute to driving increased revenue and profitability.

In order to facilitate this important aspect of revenue generation and to focus the team on clients’ priorities and objectives in order to win their business, The QEIICC has today announced a restructured commercial team.

The International Marine Purchasing Association has signed a contract to hold its annual ‘IMPA London’ event at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) for the next five years.

‘IMPA London 2012’ is a two day conference and exhibition for over 1500 international visitors and delegates and over 90 exhibitors. The event will be held in September and will utilise the entire third floor (the Benjamin Britten Lounge, Fleming and Whittle Rooms).

Steven Alexander, Chief Operating Officer IMPA said: “IMPA London is now 15 years old and had outgrown its original home.

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre is inviting tenders for their hotel booking contract to provide a service to clients and delegates. The contract will be for three years and it is expected that the successful agency may book up to 3500 room nights or more, per year.

Sue Etherington, Commercial Director said: “We are looking for a hotel booking agent partner in order to create a preferred supplier relationship so that we can offer a seamless venue and accommodation booking service to our clients.

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre has achieved £2.04million of sales in one month.

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (The QEIICC) has improved its energy efficiency rating by nearly 30percent and is now rated above the government target for energy efficiency in buildings. The Centre has just been awarded a category D rating based on a mark of 95.

Ernest Vincent, Chief Executive stated: “Our team has worked hard over the past three years to vastly reduce the energy the building consumes.

On Friday 15th July, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre held a demonstration of their AV soft blend system for event organisers.

Deborah Jones, AV/IT Sales Manager said: “This equipment enables us to produce high definition, super bright crisp images in a widescreen format. This image can then be ‘inset’ with video eg a head and shoulders shot at the lectern, and another perhaps of a PowerPoint presentation.

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (The QEIICC) is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month and is launching a series of initiatives and promotions to mark the occasion.

IMEX Frankfurt 2011– Stand F400

Two venues, next door to each other, overlooking Westminster Abbey- The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) and Central Hall Westminster- have joined together to market themselves as “Next Door Venues” in order to allow International Associations to hold their large congresses in the heart of Westminster.

Both venues can be hired together to accommodate International congresses, and can offer:
• Plenary for up to 2,100 theatre style
• An exhibition area of up to 2,100 m2 gross
• Up to 36 breakout and seminar rooms
• Catering and event spaces

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London’s premier purpose built conference centre, is the latest to join ABPCO’s Corporate membership Scheme.
