The first six months of the financial year have been resilient, income is ahead of budget and the net surplus from trading is double what was forecast a year ago.

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London’s most prestigious purpose built centre for professional meetings and events, hosted the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA) 8th International Conference from 19th to 22nd July 2009.

The conference programme offered three days of education and networking opportunities that brought the conference theme – Leadership Beyond Borders – alive.

£4.5M paid back to the Exchequer. Turnover up 7.3 percent to £11.5M

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London’s most prestigious purpose built centre for professional meetings and events, today announces successful financial results for 2008/09, enabling the Centre to pay back a dividend of £4.5million to the Government’s Exchequer.

Turnover for the 2008/09 financial year was over £11.5million – an increase of 7.3 percent.

The QEIICC is pleased to announce that its AV and IT sales manager Deborah Jones and AV technician Joe Chilvers have obtained the Infocomm International Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) qualification.

The training has given Deborah and Joe a greater understanding of how to achieve clients’ needs, through better production values, enhanced quality of broadcast and improved use of the latest technology – critical in a changing and demanding business environment.
