Reaching New Heights

2001 has seen the successful completion of a major refurbishment to the Centre’s 5th and 6th floors. The renovated stand alone areas can now accommodate up to 300 delegates.

The rooms overlook some of the best views from the Centre, including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the London Eye, and provide spacious new areas for networking, catering and displays.

A modern open plan staircase between the 5th and 6th floor has been installed in a more convenient location again providing excellent views.

On the 5th floor internal walls will be removed to increase the size of the Mountbatten Lounge allowing a significant increase in daylight and views across London. The adjacent Elizabeth Windsor Room is also being enlarged, with an acoustic “movawall” installed between the two rooms providing greater flexibility of space and improved traffic flow between the areas.

The capacity will be increased in the Mountbatten Room with the addition of a new purpose built front projection booth at one end and a fixed stage set at the other. All the sound, lighting and projection are operated by our experienced technicians in the purpose-built audio-visual control area.

The refurbished areas are the first example of the new interior design style for the Centre which will eventually be introduced throughout the entire building. The interior design style for the Centre includes improved lighting, furnishings and decor. These will include electric blue carpets, new conference style seating, dining chairs and tub chairs for lounge areas and tasteful subtle wall coverings.

The Elizabeth Windsor and Mountbatten Lounge can now accommodate up to 450 people for a standing fork buffet. Contact us to receive a full detailed brochure.
