The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London’s most prestigious purpose built centre for professional meetings and events, has undergone important refurbishment work throughout August, and will continue with smaller scale refurbishment until October 2006, ensuring the Centre continues to provide clients with pleasant state of the art surroundings.
The Centre was closed for the month of August to allow the work to be carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible. The main works included refurbishment of the Mews Lifts, installation of a disabled toilet facility on the 4th floor and continuing work on the refurbishment and replacement of the Air Handling Units, which will continue until October 2006. Other, smaller work was also carried out during the closure in keeping with the high standard of the facilities provided at the Centre.
Stephen Norcliffe, commercial director of The QEIICC, says “Closing down to undergo refurbishment allows us to complete the necessary work quickly and efficiently without causing disruption and upset to clients. Our long term commercial plan includes continual refurbishment work, ensuring we offer leading technical capabilities as well as excellent value for money.
