DELIVERING Your Most Inspirational Event

The third Masterclass of the event series was held on Friday, 9th July 2010 and was focussed on how to successfully deliver the event on the day.

The ‘DELIVERING Your Most Inspirational Event’ Masterclass incorporated years of industry experience, practical advice and smart tips to help delegates enhance their events immediately.

The Verdict

The session covered a range of essential topics including how to engage with your delegates and tailor your events to suit the audience, how to maximise the impact of your speakers and how to create the ‘wow’ factor.

This Masterclass was the most popular out of the series of four and was attended by 45 event organisers looking for new tips and ideas of how to successfully deliver events. Delegates marked the Masterclass 7.3 out of 10 for meeting their expectations. A particular highlight for many was Bob Etherington’s energetic, motivational and inspirational session on presentation skills and ‘how not to do it’! William Thomson also provided great practical examples from an event managers’ point of view.

The Speakers

Bob Etherington – Managing Director of the Bob Etherington Group, communication skills expert and published author was the ‘leader of the pack’ for this Masterclass. Bob was joined on the day by William Thomson – Event Consultant for Gallus Events who has organised over 500 events in the UK and abroad, Melissa Morris – Sales Resresentative at Congrex UK, Melissa predominantly operates within the national association market, and finally Deborah Jones – AV and IT Sales Manager at The QEIICC an event industry stalwart and audio-visual guru.

Delegates awarded the speakers 7.8 out of 10 for their content and delivery.
