The Centre completed its 2010 Masterclass Series – The Four Stages of Your Most Powerful Event Yet – with the fourth new session: EVALUATING Your Event to Ensure Future Success.
The event was a huge success, attracting over 30 event planners. The session covered essential evaluation topics such as how to utilise stakeholder feedback, calculate ROI and make the most of your internal, performance evaluation.
This workshop was awarded 8 out of 10 by attendees for meeting their initial expectations. Delegates explained the highlight of the Masterclass was the presentation from ‘wildcard’ speaker William Thomson, who gave an alternative take on evaluation, and Peter Haigh who explained the importance of ROI and how to measure and calculate it.
The session also included tips on what to cover in a de-brief meeting and different perspectives and tips on evaluation. Delegates particularly enjoyed the opportunity to network with other events professionals through the audience involvement and participation encouraged by the speakers.

Rachel Ley – Managing Director of Rachel Ley Consultancy facilitated the morning and was joined by Peter Haigh – Performance Improvement Consultant at Hamilton Haigh Associates, William Thomson – Event Consultant at Gallus Events and Steve Elliott – Director at Grayling Live.
Delegates enjoyed the mix of speakers who expressed a wide range of ideas that they could take away and implement in their own events. The speakers were awarded 8 out of 10 by delegates for their content and delivery.
This session built upon the Event Management Masterclasses that were held in September and October 2009 and developed a number of the key issues that arose. These Masterclasses were enjoyed by more than 120 conference and events professionals and a few of their thoughts are captured below.
