Organise Your Most Powerful Conference Yet!

On 20th March 2009, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre hosted its penultimate Masterclass, Organising Your Most Powerful Conference Yet; welcoming more than 40 delegates for what proved to be a memorable event.

The Event

John Blaskey, an exhibition expert for more than 35 years, facilitated the event and offered numerous tips on how to maximise the impact of exhibiting.

Jacqui Kavanagh, an influential industry stalwart for the past 25 years, explained the most useful tools for setting objectives and measuring success.

Bob Etherington, a regular international speaker and author of four books about selling, negotiation and public speaking, was a highlight, and ensured all delegates can avoid “Death by PowerPoint”.

Graeme Hodges, a designer and entrepreneur who has worked with some of the world’s top brands, outlined what new technology can do for the events industry.

Finally, our very own ‘Borat’ (Dan Blaskey) co-ordinated a question and answer session in his own memorable style!

The Verdict

At the end of the session, we asked all of our delegates how well the Masterclass met their expectations and we were delighted to find the average rating was 8 out of 10.

When delegates were asked how well the material was presented, an average rating of 8 out of 10 was given. Delegates were also asked for ideas on how the event could be enhanced to ensure our next Masterclass will be even better.
