On 25th September 2009, the Centre hosted its latest Masterclass: Excellence in Event Management: The Key to Organising Successful Events and due to the huge interest in this topic, repeated the session on the 27th October. Across the two masterclasses we were delighted to be able to help more than 100 delegates improve the way they manage events.
The session covered a wide range of topics including the briefing process, pre-production and on-site delievery, and was one of the most successful to date in terms of how well it met the expectations of delegates. Particular highlights included the event timeline, the introduction to sustainability and the event management ‘bible’.
Charles Perkin of CIRIA shares his thoughts:
Christine Stone of Project Framework Ltd Shares her thoughts:
Rachel Ley, Managing Director of Rachel Ley Consultancy, was joined by her colleague Rachel Finlay and Christina Fee, Head of Internal Communications at the BBC’s Future Media and Technology department. Their dynamic, conversational presentation style was clearly enjoyed by the attendees, who awarded an average of more than 8 out of 10 when asked how well they thought the material was presented.
We have yet to confirm our next Masterclass but will be doing so early in the new year.
