October 2009

On 27th November 2009, the Centre hosted its latest Masterclass: Sustainability in the Events Industry and welcomed more than 40 delegates from across the conference and events industry.

As usual, the session addressed a number of different areas, from identifying sustainability issues and how to take the first steps with BS 8901 to sustainability policy and practice when organising events. Particular highlights included the variety of ideas for improving sustainability, as well as the first-hand experiences that were shared by each of the speakers.

August 2009

On 25th September 2009, the Centre hosted its latest Masterclass: Excellence in Event Management: The Key to Organising Successful Events and due to the huge interest in this topic, repeated the session on the 27th October. Across the two masterclasses we were delighted to be able to help more than 100 delegates improve the way they manage events.

The session covered a wide range of topics, including the briefing process, pre-production and on-site delievery, all of which were well received by attendees.

June 2009

On 3rd July 2009, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre hosted its Digital Marketing Masterclass and helped more than 40 attendees discover the latest digital tools to enhance their event marketing solutions.

The event was a huge success, with 93% of delegates saying they would change their approach to event marketing as a direct result of the session.

May 2009

On 24th April 2009, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre hosted its Stretching Your Budget Masterclass; helping more than 40 attendees find out how to cut the costs of their next event.

Sally Greenhill (The Right Solution), an expert in marketing strategy and business planning for more than 20 years, identified the event costs that can be easily reduced. Sally also introduced the innovative palmlet voting technology.

May 2009

On 20th March 2009, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre hosted its penultimate Masterclass, Organising Your Most Powerful Conference Yet; welcoming more than 40 delegates for what proved to be a memorable event.

John Blaskey, an exhibition expert for more than 35 years, facilitated the event and offered numerous tips on how to maximise the impact of exhibiting.
